General Information
- The course starts and finishes by
Tortoise and Hare in downtown Ann Arbor.
- The course is fast and mostly
flat. (map)
- All miles are marked.
- USATF certified and sanctioned
- Technical shirts for all
participants
- Live DJ
- Champion chip timing provided by
Gault Race Management
- Plenty of post-race refreshments
- Independence Day parade follows
the race. The parade is put on by the Ann Arbor Jaycees.

- You may register in person at
either Tortoise and Hare location (during business hours) any
day up to
and including Tuesday, July 3rd.
- You may mail in entries to
"Tortoise and Hare Events"; 209 E. Liberty; Ann Arbor, MI 48104
- Mail-in entries must be postmarked
by June 18th.

Entry Fees
- 5K Run/Walk...$25 Early (Early =
On or before July 3rd)
$30 Late (Late = Race day July 4th)
- Kids' Dash......$10
- Entry fees are not refundable or
transferable.
5K Awards
- Awards Ceremony at
Arbor Brewing Company
with free hors d'oeuvres and drink
specials.
- Awards given to winners in the
following categories: Open (men/women all ages);
Masters
(men/women ages 40+); Grand Masters (men/women ages 50+);
Clydesdale (men 200+ lbs, women 160+ lbs)
- Age division awards three deep in
the following categories: 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34,
35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75+
- Awards Must be picked up race day at Arbor Brewing
Company.
There will be no post race award pick
up. Please plan accordingly.
Kids' 200 Meter Dash
- Starts at 9:15 AM
- Age Divisions (Boys/Girls): 4 &
Under; 5-6; 7-8; 9-10
- Awards to all finishers
